Nyesom Wike Reacts After President Tinubu Honoured Invitation To Commission Water Supply Project
The former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister Nyesom Wike recently reacted after the president honoured an invitation to commission a water supply project in Abuja on Monday. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he thanked the president for ensuring the completion of the project under his administration
The people of the federal capital territory, Abuja were in a jubilating mood as the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike completed a massive water supply project.
However, during the commissioning of the said project on Monday which was witnessed by several dignitaries across the federal capital territory, the presence of the president added extra ecstacy to the spectacle.
Reacting, Nyesom Wike, the FCT minister in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, expressed his gratitude to the president for honoring the invitation to commission the project.
Giving a brief background detail of the project, the FCT minister pointed out that the project was awarded in 2017 for $470 million, with a chunk of the funds being provided by the Chinese government.
Accordingly, the FCT minister thanked the president for ensuring that the project was completed under his watch. He further pointed out that they will ensure that FCT residents witness the good works of the president.
Speaking further, he disclosed that agreements were being reached with a Chinese company to extend water supply to satellite towns within the federal capital territory.
