Nigerian Film Producer Kayode Peters D+es in Canada at 49
Renowned Nigerian film and stage producer Kayode Peters has d+ed in Canada.
His passing was confirmed on Friday by his colleague, comedian Steve Onu, popularly known as Yaw, who told Peoples Gazette he was still trying to reach Peters’ brother for more information.
“Yes, he is [de@d],” Yaw said. “I am still trying to speak with his brother but he is not picking.”
The circumstances surrounding Peters’ de@th remain unclear at the time of this report.
Peters was widely celebrated for his contributions to Nigerian theatre and television. He was the creative force behind several popular stage productions and sitcoms, including Extended Family, and was best known for producing the hit comedy series Flatmates in the early 2000s.
