After being lured into sexual relations, they later discovered Aondona secretly recorded them-Oyewale

According to the Premium Times Newspaper, agents from the Makurdi Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have taken into custody Dr. Mkor Aondona, a senior aide to the Governor of Benue State responsible for Documentation, Research, and Planning, over serious allegations involving cyber harassment and sexual misconduct.

The arrest took place on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Makurdi, after a series of disturbing complaints emerged from female students who accused the official of engaging in predatory behavior, including digital intimidation, coercion, and abuse of office.

According to the complaints, Dr. Aondona allegedly sought out young women—particularly those with certain physical appearances—for event ushering roles, using the opportunity to demand sexual relationships as a prerequisite for their selection.

The victims claimed that although they eventually gave in to his demands under pressure, they were unaware that he had secretly recorded their intimate encounters. These recordings were later weaponized as he allegedly used them to threaten the women, warning he would release the footage if they cut off further sexual contact.

Additional accusations assert that Dr. Aondona shared some of these secretly obtained videos via social media and messaging apps, effectively engaging in blackmail and non-consensual distribution of explicit content. Reports suggest some of these clips have already spread online.
