Top Nigerian Political and Intellectual Figures Attend Rotimi Amaechi’s 60th Birthday Lecture in Abuja

Some of Nigeria’s most prominent political leaders and intellectuals gathered at the Continental Hotel in Abuja to celebrate the 60th birthday of former Minister of Transportation and ex-Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

The highlight of the celebration was a special lecture in Amaechi’s honour, drawing a high-powered audience that reflected his enduring influence in Nigerian politics.

In attendance were former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Abia State Governor Alex Otti, former Bayelsa State Governor and serving senator Seriake Dickson, former Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, former Ekiti State Governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi, His Highness Muhammed Sanusi II, Former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu, Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka among others

Rotimi Amaechi, known for his outspoken nature and firm leadership style, served as Governor of Rivers State from 2007 to 2015 and as Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation from 2015 to 2022.
