Our Determination to Fight Corruption is Unwavering and Unshakable — President Tinubu Vows
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to fighting corruption and recovering stolen assets, no matter where they are hidden globally.
Speaking at the opening of a Summit on Stolen Assets Recovery in Abuja on Tuesday, attended by international delegates and organizations, Tinubu emphasized that those responsible for looting Nigeria’s resources would be tracked using digital tools and held accountable.
“Our determination to fight corruption is unwavering and unshakable,” he declared, urging development partners to support Nigeria’s efforts in eradicating corruption and ensuring justice.
The President outlined plans to strengthen anti-corruption institutions and enforce greater transparency and accountability. He noted that corruption has had a damaging effect on key sectors like healthcare, education, and infrastructure, depriving citizens—especially the vulnerable—of essential services.
Tinubu said asset recovery not only serves as a deterrent but also symbolizes accountability and helps restore public confidence. He added that funds recovered have already been channeled into critical infrastructure such as the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Second Niger Bridge, Abuja-Kano Expressway, and rural electrification projects.
He called on Nigerians to unite in the fight against corruption and ensure that stolen wealth is returned for the benefit of the people.
