Nigeria Immigration Arrests Popular Native Doctor Wanted for K+dnapping and R+tual K+lling


The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has apprehended a wanted native doctor, Obi Levi Obieze, also known as Levi Obu Onyeka, at the Badagry-Seme border while he was attempting to flee the country.


According to a statement issued in Abuja by NIS Public Relations Officer, ACI Akinsola Akinlabi, the arrest was confirmed by the Comptroller General of Immigration, Kemi Nandap.


Obieze, a native of Umuojor village in Isiagu community, Enugu State, is reportedly involved in the abd¥ction of a 13-year-old girl on May 27, 2025. The victim was k+dnapped by a group of men while walking with her father to the farm and was later rescued by police from a shrine allegedly linked to the suspect.


Acting on intelligence, NIS officers from the Lagos State Border Patrol Command intercepted Obieze at the Gbaji checkpoint along the Badagry-Seme Road. He was trying to escape on a motorcycle. His identity was confirmed through a National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) slip found in his possession. He also reportedly confessed to the crime during initial interrogation.


The suspect is currently in custody and will be handed over to the Nigeria Police for further investigation. The NIS reiterated its dedication to national security and effective border management.
