Senate President Godswill Akpabio has praised President Bola Tinubu for what he described as transformative leadership that has revived Nigerians’ confidence in the country’s future.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Eseme Eyiboh, on Thursday, Akpabio congratulated Tinubu on his second year in office, commending the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda for placing Nigeria on a solid path of development.
He lauded Tinubu’s economic and fiscal reforms, saying they have begun to yield positive results by revitalizing the economy, improving citizens’ quality of life, and attracting both local and foreign investments. Akpabio also noted a strengthening of the naira and described these changes as signs of Nigeria becoming a preferred business destination.
He highlighted the administration’s commitment to inclusive development, referencing the establishment of development commissions across all geopolitical zones and major infrastructure projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and Lagos-Maiduguri route.
On security, Akpabio praised the armed forces for intensifying efforts against terrorism and crime, attributing improved security to Tinubu’s leadership.
He added that the increasing calls for Tinubu to seek re-election in 2027 are a reflection of his achievements and credibility. Akpabio reaffirmed the Senate’s support for the president and pledged continued collaboration for national progress.
