President Tinubu’s Political Adviser, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, Resigns
Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the political adviser to President Bola Tinubu, has resigned, Daily Trust has reliably gathered.
Presidency sources confirmed that Baba-Ahmed submitted his resignation about two weeks ago. While he did not disclose specific reasons, he cited personal grounds for his decision. It remains unclear whether the presidency has accepted his resignation.
Appointed in September 2023 as Special Adviser on Political Matters in the Office of Vice President Kashim Shettima, Baba-Ahmed has represented the presidency at various public events. His most recent engagement was at a national conference in Abuja from January 28 to 29, 2025, focused on strengthening Nigeria’s democracy and governance.
