The high-level delegation, led by the Chairman of the Committee, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, visited the governor at his private residence in Port Harcourt to brief him on plans and progress made towards ensuring a befitting burial for the revered nationalist.
Also present during the visit was the National President of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), Prof. Benjamin Okaba, along with other key stakeholders from the Ijaw Nation.
Pa E.K. Clark, who until his passing was the Leader of the Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), a former Federal Commissioner for Information, and a respected voice in national affairs, is widely acknowledged for his lifelong commitment to justice, equity, and the development of the Niger Delta region.
The visit is one of several engagements by the committee aimed at rallying support and collaboration for the final rites of the late icon, whose legacy continues to inspire many across the region and Nigeria at large.
