Porsha Williams Delayed Wedding to Simon Guobadia Until He Showed His Finances – Court Docs Reveal

Porsha Williams is going all in as her legal battle with estranged husband Simon Guobadia heats up. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star has introduced a key witness to reinforce her fight to uphold their prenuptial agreement.

According to newly filed court documents, Porsha, 43, submitted an affidavit from her former attorney, Jordan B. Forman, who represented her in 2021 during prenup negotiations with Simon, 60. Jordan’s statement reveals that Simon, represented by his lawyer Alex Cutler, caused major delays in the process—primarily due to his failure to disclose his full financial details.

“The negotiation process dragged on for months,” Jordan stated in the filing. “The biggest roadblock was [Simon’s] inability to provide information about his income, assets, and liabilities.”

Jordan further alleged that Porsha refused to move forward with the wedding until Simon handed over his financial records.

“The couple had originally discussed tying the knot in August and September 2022, but those plans were put on hold—at least in part due to [Simon’s] lack of transparency about his finances,” the affidavit reads. “As a result, the wedding was postponed until Thanksgiving week in late November 2022.”

Court records show that Simon finally disclosed his finances in fall 2022, and the couple signed the final prenup at his attorney’s office on November 17—just days before saying “I do.”

Fast forward 15 months later, Porsha filed for divorce in February 2024. However, Simon is now contesting the validity of their prenup.

The court was set to hear the matter this month, but in a shocking twist, Simon was taken into custody by ICE over alleged immigration issues—throwing yet another curveball into their already messy split.
