Siminalayi Fubara Prevented Nyesom Wike From Making Rivers His Private Estate - Peter Odili

Former Rivers State governor, Dr. Peter Odili, has commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for preventing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, from turning Rivers State into his private estate, as reported by Vanguard Newspaper.

Speaking during a Christmas ballad held in honor of Governor Fubara and his family, Odili praised Fubara for displaying fortitude in the face of what he described as a fierce and unnecessary political war.

According to Odili, Governor Fubara stood firm against Wike’s attempts to dominate the state, ensuring governance remained steady and civil servants were prioritized. “With assuring fortitude, Governor Fubara confronted the challenge, prevented the quest by one man to capture the State as a private estate, and emancipated Rivers people,” Odili said.

Governor Fubara, in his response, credited God as the ultimate liberator of the state and acknowledged the support of Rivers people during the crisis. He emphasized that the political turmoil strengthened his leadership perspective and reinforced his commitment to governance.

Fubara assured that his administration would continue to prioritize progress and unity, stating, “We will continue to run a government that will uplift the image of the State.”

The event also featured remarks from prominent state leaders, including Speaker Victor Oko-Jumbo and Justice Simeon Amadi, who highlighted Fubara’s role in stabilizing Rivers State amidst political challenges.
