Court remands Yahaya Bello in EFCC custody until December 10


The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, on Wednesday, November 27, remanded the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).


Trial Justice Maryann Anenih ordered that Bello remain with the anti-graft agency until December 10, when the court will rule on his bail application.


Bello’s two co-defendants, Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu, were also remanded in custody.


The defendants pleaded not guilty to the 16-count charge brought against them by the EFCC.
