Shettima Returns From New York

Vice President Kashim Shettima returned to Abuja after representing President Bola Tinubu at the 79th United Nations General Assembly. 


During the assembly, Shettima urged for reforms in the UN Security Council to grant Nigeria and other African nations permanent seats. 


He emphasized the need for inclusivity, peace, and sustainable development, addressing global issues such as terrorism, inequality, climate change, and military coups in Africa. Shettima also participated in several bilateral meetings. 


Upon his return, he will join President Tinubu for Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary celebrations.
