Nigerians celebrate those who steal public funds – Sen Ndume

Senator Ali Ndume of Borno South lamented Nigeria’s persistent corruption problem, criticizing the culture of celebrating individuals who embezzle public funds.

In an interview in Kano, Ndume highlighted how ill-gotten wealth is often praised, while in developed nations, wealth is scrutinized.

He also expressed frustration over his unsuccessful attempts to introduce a law addressing unexplained wealth and called for prioritizing agriculture to combat hunger and food insecurity in Nigeria.

Ndume stressed that corruption remains a major challenge in the country.
