EDO:Instead Of Focusing On Election They Were Meeting In Enugu, Taraba, Who’s Losing Now?-Wike Mocks PDP Govs

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has once again cautioned politicians against meddling in the affairs of Rivers State, as reported by VANGUARD.

Speaking at a civic reception organized by the Rivers Ijaw People’s Congress in Port Harcourt, Wike made it clear that Rivers State is of paramount importance to him and that any external interference would have serious consequences.

The minister expressed frustration with certain Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors, accusing them of being more preoccupied with holding meetings in Enugu and Taraba states than focusing on managing their own elections.

“I told them if you put your hand in Rivers State matter, fire will burn you. Today, they are crying everywhere. Instead of concentrating on how to win elections in their states, they were busy having meetings in Enugu and Taraba states. Who is losing now?” Wike said, mocking the opposition’s perceived lack of focus

Wike also revealed that there had been an attempt to disrupt the civic reception, accusing these individuals of promoting violence in Rivers State. He warned that no one has a monopoly on violence, implying that the state government would not hesitate to respond firmly to any such attempts.

The minister further criticized the opposition for taking credit for development projects he initiated, specifically mentioning the ring road project, which he claimed was started during his time as governor of Rivers State. Wike emphasized that he is continuing similar development efforts in Abuja.
