Late Onyeka Onwenu’s body being taken away by pall-bearers dressed in traditional isi agu outfits, as she prepares for the final journey to her resting place.

One of Nigeria’s most celebrated music icon, Onyeka Onwenu has been layed to rest at the Ebony vaults in Lagos State.

The artist passed on July 30, 2024, at Reddington Hospital, Ikeja, after c0llapsing at an event honouring Stella Okoli, the Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.

The funeral service was held at the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi.

She was 72 years old.
