Updated: UAV, Not Helicopter, Involved in Air Mishap in Kaduna, Nigerian Air Force Clarifies


The Nigerian Air Force has clarified that a UAV crashed in Kaduna State, not a helicopter.


The Nigerian Air Force has clarified reports  announcing the crash of a helicopters in Kaduna State on Monday, saying it was an unmanned aerial vehicle. 


This attitude should be discouraged as it negates the principle of developmental journalism, balanced reporting and fairness. Members of the media are again advised to always seek clarification from authorised military outlets before rushing to ‘break’ the news.”

The Director of Public Relations and Information, Edward Gabkwet in a statement said contrary to reports, the incident involved a NAF Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) which experienced a mishap shortly after take-off for a mission.
