Nigerian military vows to crush IPOB after killing of 5 soldiers
The Nigerian Defence Headquarters has promised a robust response after five soldiers were tragically killed in Abia State.
The soldiers were targeted by gunmen enforcing a sit-at-home order issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to honour those who died during the 1967-70 Nigerian Civil War.
According to Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, the military is determined to avenge the soldiers’ deaths, emphasizing that the response will be resolute and crushing.
