Upcoming singer, Gwenzy, abducted in Delta, his abductors demand $200k ransom
Upcoming singer, Goodnews Enuemu aka Gwenzy, has been kidnapped.
The singer was in Delta state for a performance when he was abducted along Eklat road in Ughelli, a town in the state on Monday, April 29. According to his record label, the singer’s manager, Obas9ice who escaped unhurt, said the abductors were dressed in ‘police uniform’.
His abductors have since contacted his record label and are demanding $200, 000 ransom for his release. The kidnappers have threatened to send the head of the artiste if his management involves the police or mark the money sent in as ransom. They mentioned that they will send a mail in five days with the location where the ransom will be deposited.
In a chat with LIB, the spokesperson of the command, SP Bright Edafe, said the singer was indeed abducted but that investigation into the incident is ongoing.
