Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri has sworn in Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG)

During the swearing in, the governor noted that after careful consideration and extensive consultations, he found Ayawei qualified and suited for the crucial role, stating that his appointment was not merely based on the necessity but on his distinguished credentials.

Prof Nimbofa is a former Member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and immediate past Chairman of the State Internal Revenue Board

He is from Koluama Kingdom in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area
