Heavy security at National Assembly as Tinubu presents 2024 budget

The National Assembly Complex is heavily guarded as President Bola Tinubu prepares to introduce the 2024 Appropriation Bill before a joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives at 11 a.m. today.

It was noticed that extra armed police officers were deployed to the complex’s entrances, which are the Main (MOPOL) Gate, the Villa Gate, and the Annex Gates of the National Assembly.

Anyone without accreditation was not allowed through.

The atmosphere had a solemn undertone as the usual hustle and bustle associated with the National Assembly was absent with the restriction of human and vehicular traffic.
