Update: Lady was not beaten to d£ath. Autopsy report shows she dr@wned- Anambra police says

The Anambra state police command has said that investigations carried out so far shows that the young lady identified as Chinyere Awuda who was allegedly b£aten to d£ath by fun seekers in a club inside Cosmila Hotel in Awka, the Anambra State capital last weekend, dr@wned in the swimming pool where her body was found on July 17.

It was alleged that Ms Awuda was b£aten to d£ath by some fun seekers at the hotel who accused her of stealing money sprayed on someone at the hotel who was celebrating a birthday anniversary. 

 However, a statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, today July 28, says the pathologist that carried out an autopsy on Ms. Awuda’s body did not find any trauma marks on her to indicate that she was b£aten to d£ath. Ikenga added that the autopsy indicated that Ms. Awuda d!ed from drowning.

“Contrary to claims that the deceased was b£aten to d£ath, the pathologist found no sign of trauma on the body.

The autopsy report indicated that Drowning was the cause of d£ath.

This finding was in tandem with claims that the lady ran away when accosted and every effort made to find her that night was futile.

It would appear that she fell into the abandoned swimming pool and dr@wned.

Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, *CP Aderemi Adeoye* has directed that the case file be forwarded to the Attorney General for vetting and legal advice.
